I like to work with off-cuts, both materially and culturally, searching through skips, charity shops and my own collections for artifacts that help me to tell new stories. I am often surprised by the things I make and hope others are too.
I am committed to an independent practice that challenges dominant narratives of progress and consumption, and draws attention to the emotional and physical consequences of life under contemporary capitalism.
Accessibility is a vital part of my work, through material choice, wit, and visual clarity. I don’t seek to provide answers but to create an opening for us to pause and reflect on how we are experiencing our time on earth and whether in fact there are better and more meaningful ways for us to exist.
